Hello, I’m Sophie!
I am the founder of Whitetail Skateboards 🇨🇦, Skate Designer, Shaper and Visual Artist.
Since 1997, board riding has always been my sacred Happy Place, and since then I fiercely protect it from anything that could compromise the sense of freedom it brings me.
I fight to preserve this happy place like a mama bear fight for her cubs.
The way I lead this fight, is by designing boards that will offer the utmost experience, not only for me, but for everyone who’s not ready to settle for the ordinary.
While I refuse to compromise when it comes to my board riding, I have never shied away from hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance, knowing that they pave the way for a greater sense of freedom when I’ll hop on my board.
Working night shifts while attending school full time to afford a snowboard season pass at Kicking Horse BC, can testify that my tendency for hard-earned payoff goes as far back as 2001
That’s why I am dedicated to design boards for all my fellow wild cats out there who won’t accept the mundane. My boards are crafted for those who refuse to be restricted, confined in a mold, or trapped by marketing strategies.
I’ve always been willing to sacrifices whatever it takes and pay the price to attain the ultimate experience of freedom when I ride, and I am driven to serve all those who are pursuing the this untainted sense of freedom like I do.
I strive to uphold the highest standards for everyone daring to embark on this journey with me and become part of the Whitetailers family. Once you become a Whitetailer, you become my people, and I am committed to continually striving towards our shared vision of limitless surfskating.
My goal is to ensure that your ride with Whitetail is nothing short of an extraordinary experience. I am here to take care of you every step of the way as we navigate this journey together.
